…running in underwear

Standard

hi everyone.

so, it’s been a while since I published anything to this blog. honestly, i don’t know why i still have it. i do know, however, that i don’t want to delete my previous blogs. they have such sentimental value! working on a cruise ship and blogging about the daily adventures was so much fun (and so embarassing)!

but anyway… back to the matter at hand: running in underwear.

a few days ago i was driving down peachtree near piedmont hospital when i spotted the most unusual site: a bronzed man, trotting down the sidewalk. when i say trot, i mean it. or, maybe it was more like prancing. i don’t know. either way, it was majestic.

as the distance between my vehicle grew shorter, and his bronzing blindness became brighter, i noticed something peculiar. the jogger was not wearing normal shorts, or even short running shorts, he was wearing blue tighty-whiteys! (i guess that would make them tighty-blueys)

but there he was smiling, running in his underwear.

i guess when it gets hot, the clothes come off!

…friday’s pickles

Standard

sometimes i come into work and wonder… did i ever leave college?

on friday someone brought in a jar of pickles. three days later that jar is still here… still open. gross. we have cleaning people but i wonder how efficient they are.

in other news, did you know i still had a blog. i’m sure you had forgotten because i did! i’m going to attempt to write more however i don’t know how successful i will be. the last time i tried to start writing i stopped trying.

recently i went back in time and read some of my posts written while working on a cruise ship. (if you have a minute, i’d suggest you read them .. super fun!) i hope to use this little speck of the internet as a looking glass into my past. maybe.. one day.. my kids will get to read this and realize how awesome their dad was! seriously. think about it. i’m super awesome!

so, let’s catch you up on my life.

now, i’m working at Fox 59. i am an assignment editor. for those that aren’t tv savvy, wikipedia (the source of all things truthful) defines an assignment editor as “…[the person] who selects, develops and plans reporting assignments, either news events or feature stories, to be covered by reporters.” i work an overnight shift. anyone who works overnight can tell you not much happens between 11:00pm & 7:00am. typically i monitor police scanners of central indiana law enforcement and first responders, research stories for the morning show, and monitor the [evil] competition.

that’s all for today. i could really go for some breakfast right now.
